Different Varieties of Hair Loss

It is usual for folks to lose at least a hundred strands of hair per day. This happens because the normal human hair growth cycle- usually expected to last at least two to 6 years- pieces of hair fall out daily and regenerate in about twelve weeks. Unfortunately, some folks lose many more than the normal number of strands each day. There is evidence that there is a growing number of individuals who experience the pain of hair loss these days.

Many people who are losing their hair haven’t even noticed that hair loss is occurring. Most people are not concerned about their hair falling out and don’t catch an issue until other people begin saying things about it.

Types of Hair Loss

If you’re concerned about hair loss, the first thing you need to know is what the specific types of hair loss are.

First, there is “androgenetic alopecia” which is most commonly known as pattern baldness. Individuals who have this kind of hair loss experience slowed hair growth and weaker hair compared to before they get the issue. Pattern baldness is hereditary, caused by genes passed down in families. Stop Female Pattern Hair Loss

The second type of hair loss is called “cicatricial alopecia” or scarring alopecia caused by inflamation. Skin inflammation ruins the sufferer’s hair follicles and becomes scar tissue. Due to the scars, hair is prevented from growing out. Scarring alopecia can be caused by medical conditions like lupus erythematosis and lichen planus but experts haven’t figured out what exactly causes the inflammation.

“Alopecia areata” is considered an autoimmune disease. Although this is the medical name of this problem, the cause of this disorder hasn’t been uncovered yet. Experts say that individuals who suffer from this condition are generally healthy. Some experts say  that the problem could be caused by genetic problems, thyroid disease or viruses in the person’s environment.

The next version of hair loss is caused by a change in the individual’s natural hair cycle and this is called “telogen effluvium”. This issue might occur when something shock’s an individual’s system into prematurely stopping hair growth. The shock could be physical, but is more commonly emotional, as in depression caused by situational factors such as divorce or death. Problems like fever, weight gain/loss and nutritional deficiencies can also be a cause. Stop Your Hair Thinning

Last, the final type of hair loss is called “traction alopecia”. This issue is caused by excessive pressure on the person’s scalp. All this pulling stops the hair’s roots from growing healthy hair. Regrow your hair with Review of Provillus
